Request - Pirate!Japan x Reader : Return

You looked out to sea with a smile as your five year old son clung to your leg, singing a song that was sung by the pirates that roamed the sea. You had been waiting at that dock for many years … awaiting the return of your husband, Kiku Honda, who had gone sailing out to sea in search of fortune … purely because your family was poor and barely had enough to get by
"Yo-ho, all hands. Hoist the colours high … heave-ho, thieves and beggars. Never shall we die"
You didn't have the heart to tell your son that his father was in fact a pirate, whom you had first met when he captured you. But you both fell in love, so he took you back home and married you. Just as he settled down, however, you fell into money trouble and you were heavily pregnant. Those were the reasons that your beloved wasn't beside you … and the reason why he missed the birth of his son
"Yo-ho, all together. Hoist the colours high … heave-ho, thieves and beggars. Never shall we die"
You sighed sadly as the sun set in the distance
"Looks like he's not coming" You thought sadly
"Come on, Sora …" You said, leading your son away
"Ok, Mama" He said, squeezing your hand
"I'll be back tomorrow, my love" You thought, sighing
"Mama, why are you crying?" Sora asked
Damn. You had started crying and you hadn't even noticed
"N-nothing, sweetie … I just miss your father, that's all" You said
"What was Papa like?" He asked
You looked at Sora. He was an almost exact mirror image of his father, apart from the eyes … they were just like yours
"Well …"
You didn't know how to describe the man you loved. When an image of him came into your head, you were lost for words. He was … beautiful
"Mama?"
You shook your head violently and cleared your throat as a light blush appeared on your cheeks
"S-sorry, I am not myself today" You said, sighing
"Aww … poor Mama" Sora said sadly
"Come, Sora. Let's go home" You sighed

You were woken up the next day by a curious sound. It sounded like footsteps … but then a peculiar sound followed. It sounded like wood colliding with the floor. The noise came to a stop … and you felt someone touch you. You opened your eyes when you felt a familiar sensation on the side of your neck. You looked and saw the dark eyes of your husband, looking at you
"K-Kiku!" You breathed
"Konnichiwa, _________" He whispered, stroking your cheek
You sat up and hugged him, tears flowing down your cheeks out of joy
"I missed you so much!" You breathed, crying heavily
"I know … I missed you too. I'm sorry I was away for so long. How is the baby?" He asked, drying your eyes
"S-Sora … he's five now. It was his birthday last week" You said
"I … have a son?" He asked, surprised
You nodded and looked at Kiku. He looked shocked and happy to hear that he had a son
"C-Can I see him?" He asked
"Of course, but first … tell me what happened. I need to know why it took you almost six years to come home" You said
He sighed and sat on the bed
"W-well, you see … I was captured by that British Pirate, Captain Kirkland and I was forced to work on his ship for two years, before I made my escape" He said
He took off his coat and shirt to reveal nasty scars on his back and arms. It was hard to stop yourself from screaming at the sight of his once perfect body
"What happened?" You asked, horrified
You touched one of the scars and he flinched a little
"I got these from disobeying Kirkland's orders … ten lashes for each rule I disobeyed" Kiku said, sighing
"Th-there are so many scars" You breathed, stroking his back
He sighed
"Hai …" He said
"So how did you escape?" You asked
"I bided my time, learning everyone's movements and habits. Then, I used that knowledge to steal one of the boats and make my escape without being noticed by anyone" He said, smiling
"You're so smart" You said, kissing him on the cheek
He laughed a little and went dark pink
"I stole something from him whilst I was at it, too" He said
You looked around and saw a huge wooden chest by the door, which was overflowing with gold and jewellery fit for a king. You gasped and looked at him
"We'll never go hungry again" He said
"Oh, Kiku! You're wonderful!" You cried, hugging him
After that, Kiku settled down … and spent the rest of his days living happily with his family
