Request - Norway x Reader : Cosmos - Part 7

"Where are we?" Finland asked, looking around
"This doesn't look like Asgard to me" Denmark said, looking thoughtful
"How would you know, you've never been there!" Iceland said, agitated
Sweden sighed
"England must have miscalculated ... we're in Jötunheimr, home of the giants" Hilde said
"G-Giants?" You squeaked
"It'll probably be a good idea if we stayed hidden" Iceland said
"W-what will they do if they do find us?" Finland asked, a little scared
"Don't worry ... I won't let them hurt you" Sweden said, taking hold of the frightened man's uninjured hand
You remembered the panic you caused back in the Elf world, and you could only imagine how the Giants would react if they found out there were humans in their world
"As long as we're quiet and don't draw attention to ourselves, we'll be fine" Hilde said
At that precise moment, everyone looked at Denmark, who looked surprised that he was now the centre of attention
"Wh-what are you all looking at me, for?" He asked, a little confused
"You're the noisiest one here" Iceland growled
"You guys are so mean to me sometimes ... just like Norge" Denmark sighed
"Get down!" Finland suddenly squeaked
Everyone hid behind a group of rocks as a huge Rock Giant walked past slowly. Every step that the Giant made shook the ground. Finland clung to Sweden, frightened and you had to suppress the urge to scream. However, Denmark looked like he was trying not to laugh and Iceland was giving him a hate-filled glare, much like the ones Norway gave. Once you and the others were sure the way was clear, you and the group came out from behind the rock and began to make your way to the archway, led by Hilde, who fortunately knew the Nine Worlds like the back of her hand. This didn't stop you and the others feeling a little anxious
"How long will it take to get to the archway?" Denmark asked
"It could take a few days, it depends on how fast we walk" Hilde said
"Days?!" Finland said, shocked
"But Norway may not have that long!" You wailed
"Isn't there any way we can get there faster? Like a shortcut?" Denmark asked
"That would be unwise, Denmark" Sweden said
"Sve is right. We don't know this place, and we could easily get lost ... which in the long run will cost us more time" Iceland said
"Ok, I get it! It's a bad idea ..." Denmark said, pouting
"It's already getting dark. We should get moving" Sweden said
Everyone agreed and the group, led by Hilde, began to make their way across the wide open plains of Jötunheimr. But it wasn't long before the unforgiving terrain began to take a toll on the team. Finland collapsed out of exhaustion and Sweden had to carry him until the group made camp, which wouldn't be until nightfall and it was apparent that Iceland was coming down with a nasty illness when the group reached the icy plains where the Frost Giants lived
"Hilde, we need to stop soon! Ice and Finland are in a bad way!" You said
"But we're making record time!" Hilde said, sounding proud of herself
"[Name] is right! We need to find a place to rest for the night. The sun is setting" Denmark
As if on cue, a snow storm began to kick up and Hilde sighed
"Fine. Let's rest in that small cave over there ... it would be too small for a Giant's home" She said
The group made their way into the cave. It wasn't much, but it was big enough for all of them and it was shelter from the weather outside
"Man, I'm starved" Denmark said
"Yeah, you look like you're wasting away" Iceland growled sarcastically
Sweden took a loaf of bread out of the backpack he carried and handed some out to everyone
"This is all we have ... we must be careful not to use it all" He said, putting the loaf back
"Aww ... bread?" Denmark complained
"Well, it's that or nothing Mathias. Don't be so fussy" Iceland growled, shivering
Denmark looked a little guilty for complaining. Finland was exhausted and Iceland was falling ill ... it was apparent that this journey to Asgard was going to be a tough one indeed

-Meanwhile, Back in Midgard (Our World)-

England came back to the campsite with fire wood and saw Romania and Lady Gaia talking. The group were in the middle of the woods because England and Romania were taking Lady Gaia home. Romania had bonded with the she-Elf, and was constantly nice to her. England, however, was highly suspicious of her and watched as she talked with Romania
"I don't believe you told me your name" Lady Gaia said
"I have two names, because I'm a country" Romania said with a cheery smile
"Oh? How interesting ... can you tell me both of your names?" She asked
"Sure! My Human Name is Vladimir!" He said with a big smile
She gave a small laugh and blushed a little
"Hey, I made you laugh! My goal for the day is complete!" He said
At this, Lady Gaia laughed louder
"You are quite the peculiar person, Mr Vladimir" She said
"Please, call me Vlad" He said, smiling at her
"Of course, but I must ask ... why do you smile so much?" She asked
"People like it when I smile and maybe if I'm lucky, I'll get more visitors" He replied
"Visitors? Do you live alone, then?" She asked
"Yes ... and I don't get many visitors nowadays. The only visitors I usually get are Lukas and Arthur, or Vampire Hunters" He replied
"Oh, you poor thing" She said, with a sympathetic look in her eye
"It's not all bad. At least that way, it means I'm getting some exercise" He said
"You're quite the oddball" She said, laughing
"That's as maybe, but at least I'm not boring, right?" He said, looking at her
"Oh, I don't know about that" She said with a little smile
"Hey! Not cool!" Romania squealed, flailing his arms around
Lady Gaia laughed at his foolishness and the duo continued to talk, becoming friends at a slow, but sure pace as England watched, unsure of Lady Gaia's kindness. To him, the situation seemed strange. Romania had untied her, but she made no attempt to escape and she had stopped being rude to Romania altogether
"You seem to be a very kind person, Vladimir" Lady Gaia said
"I try to be nice to prove that not all Vampires are bad people. I'm probably the only person in this world that knows how you feel, Gaia" Romania replied
She looked at him with a smile and sighed
"I see ... so that's why. Now, I have to ask ... why did those men protect [Name]? I don't understand" She said
Romania smiled and told Lady Gaia all about you from how nice you were, to your relationship with the Nordics. Lady Gaia looked like she was regretting sending Norway to Niflheim but England thought she was feigning this to win Romania over
"Lady Gaia ... what does she seek to gain by becoming friends with Romania?" England thought to himself
