Request : England x Reader - Detective Work Part 8

L sighed deeply as he watched Sherlock carry the hysterical Arthur off. L made his way down the hall and began to think
This situation is certainly intriguing. I doubt that Kira could potentially be involved in this ... but still, I was called here by Dr Watson to assist in the Yao Case. But as far as I can see this is simply a rescue mission ... and a failing one at that ... so it goes without saying that I should find the one called (Name) (Last Name) and her friend Yao Wang. It appears that the one called "Moriarty" means no further harm ... but Francis could prove difficult ... then there's the one known as "Descole" ... could he also pose a threat? This is certainly a very elaborate plot to get to Arthur Kirkland's love interest, but ... I don't see the sense in calling the attention of the best detectives  in history. Who is this Descole exactly? ... And why is he so determined to have Arthur Kirkland out of the way? Is it for his own ends? ... Of course that's it! He's obsessed with her, therefore ... he is behaving irrationally and it explains why this situation has been blown all out of proportion ... regardless ... I need to find Hershel Layton and discuss what to do before he confronts Descole ... He thought to himself
He narrowed his eyes as he came across an odd scene. Hershel Layton was alone and the window behind him was smashed
"Hershel Layton, I presume" L said
Layton turned around and stared at L
"I am L ... you can call me Ryuzaki" He said
"It is a pleasure to meet you ... uh ... Ryuzaki" Layton said, confused
"So, where is Descole?" L asked
"He fell out of the window ... I have a feeling we haven't seen the last of him. Now, what happened to Arthur?" Layton asked
"Sherlock Holmes has taken him home ... he has been injured and needs to be tended to immediately ..." L said
"Oh dear ... I do hope he's alright" Layton said
"Now, we need to search for (Name) ... do you have a photo of her?" L asked
Layton nodded and dug out a small photo of you, Arthur and Sherlock ... all smiling. L took a long look at it
"I see ... we'll split up and search the rooms ... unfortunately there are only two of us, so the search will take longer ... but nonetheless, we must search" He said
Layton nodded and they proceeded to search the house

-Meanwhile-

"No! I have to help-GAH!" Arthur cried out in pain
"Stop trying to sit up, Mr Kirkland. You'll hurt yourself" Luke said
Arthur glared at him. He felt so powerless, lying there bare chested and covered in bandages. He had a nasty headache, and worst of all ... he missed you. His heart felt like it was being ripped from his chest ... he held the little box, no bigger than his palm in his hand tightly
"What is that Mr Kirkland?" Luke asked
Arthur smiled and opened it. Inside was a small diamond ring ... that would easily fit you
"Wow!" Luke said
"I ... I'm going to ask (Name) to marry me ..." He said, closing the box
His voice was croaky and he was in a tremendous amount of pain. He held the box tightly and sighed
"I just hope she's alright ..." He said, closing his eyes
He smiled and began to hum "Greensleeves" to himself quietly. He heard the door open, and he fell silent ...
"Arthur!"
He gasped and his eyes snapped open
"(Name)!" He said, trying to sit up
The moment he did, he cried out in agony and laid down again
"Stop doing that, Mr Kirkland" Luke scolded
"Luke, Professor Layton is waiting for you. He's going to take you home" You said, smiling
He cheered and left the room. You looked at Arthur and smiled. You sat on the side of his bed and kissed him on the cheek
"I'm so glad ... are you alright?" He asked
"Yes, I'm fine ... I am so sorry you got hurt because of me" You said, holding his hand
He smiled
"(Name) ..."
He held up the box and opened it. You gasped
"Oh Arthur ..." You breathed, almost crying
"W-will you marry me?" He asked, smiling
"Yes! Oh, yes!" You squealed hugging him tightly
"BUGGER THAT HURTS!" He cried out in pain
You pulled away
"S-sorry, I got over excited" You said
He took your hand and put the ring on your finger
"Mrs Kirkland ..." He said, smiling

-1 Year Later-

The wedding had gone perfectly and you had never felt more in love ... you couldn't believe that Alfred actually agreed to be the best man, but he did ... and he seemed happy that Arthur was getting married. L, Yao, Sherlock and Layton attended the wedding too, and they all seemed very happy to see you and Arthur finally getting together. The after wedding party was wonderful, too ... your "first dance" with Arthur was so romantic, even though his older brother, Iain tried his best to ruin the entire occation. Arthur carried you into the house as you giggled. He carried you into the bedroom and threw you on the bed. You squealed with laughter as he came over to you and kissed you
"Oh, Arthur ... I love you" You said, smiling
"I love you too ... (Name) Kirkland" He said, kissing you on the cheek
