Arthur ran into the house at full speed, worried sick. He halted. The living room was a mess ... you and Luke were nowhere to be seen
"Oh no ... we're too late ..." He breathed, falling to his knees
He punched the floor angrily
"Damn it! I should have stayed here!" He shouted angrily, starting to cry
He felt a hand on his shoulder and looked up. Layton was looking at him with a smile
"We'll find her. You have my word" He said
He ventured into the living room and Arthur just collapsed in a heap on the floor. He didn't want to do anything ...

He just wanted to crawl into a corner and die ... then, he heard a gasp
"Arthur! Mr Holmes! Come quickly!"
He sat up reluctantly and dried his eyes. He watched Sherlock hurry into the living room, along with Dr Watson. Arthur got up and wondered into the living room. Layton was carrying an unconscious Luke ... and laid him in the armchair
"It's a good thing Luke wasn't taken ... I have found a sheet of paper addressed to Arthur requesting his presence" Layton said
"Indeed, but it means one of us will have to stay behind ... personally, because I'm only slowing you down I ... I want to stay here ..." Arthur said, looking ashamed of himself
They all stared at him

Arthur gave a weak smile
"I will stand guard over Luke" Dr Watson said

"This could take us hours to search" Sherlock said

Suddenly, the lights turned on, revealing someone sitting in a chair by a chess table. Opposite him was an empty chair
"Moriarty!" Sherlock hissed, narrowing his eyes
"Who would like a game of chess?"
"Where's (Name) and Yao?" Arthur asked, determined
"They are upstairs, but know this ... only two of you will pass by me" Moriarty said
"Looks like they're going to split us up" Layton said
"Well, if that's the case, then I shall deal with Moriarty" Sherlock said, stepping forward
He sat in the chair and Moriarty grinned as the others made their way up the stairs. Arthur looked at Sherlock one last time
"Go!" Sherlock said
Arthur reluctantly continued to run up the steps, guilt weighing heavily on his heart
