You held onto Arthur's hand tightly as Alfred answered the door. His smile turned to a blank expression and he folded his arms
"What do you want, Arthur?" He asked flatly
"Hello, Alfred. We wanted to ask you about something" You said, smiling
He narrowed his eyes at you suspiciously
"I'm already answering questions for someone. You'll have to wait" He said
He sounded awfully bitter ... you took the glasses out of your pocket
"We ... found these. I think they belong to you" You said
"Nah, they're not mine" He said flatly
"What?"
"I only have one pair. And I'm wearing them" He said
"But ... we found these at Yao's house. W-we were hoping you could help us! Please, Yao is missing!" You said
"Yao's missing?" He asked, looking surprised
"Y-yeah ... I'm worried" You replied
He looked concerned for a moment
"Come on in" He said, smiling
You looked at Arthur, who seemed to be smiling at you. Alfred led the two of you into the living room, where a strange man was sitting in the armchair drinking tea
"Professor Layton? Is that you?" Arthur asked
"Ah, Arthur. It's been too long, my friend!" Layton said, smiling
You and Arthur took a seat. You noticed a huge flag on the wall ... one that you had only seen once or twice before - The American flag. You watched Alfred take a seat
"So, what brings you here, Arthur?" Layton asked, sipping his tea
A thirteen year old boy came out from behind the armchair
"Luke, this is my old friend Arthur Kirkland" Layton said
The boy just smiled
"So, why are you here?" Layton asked
"Well, I'm here to help (Name) with a case because Sherlock is busy. You see, Yao went missing" Arthur replied
"How interesting. I am here for a similar reason. I got a call from Kiku Honda, who is concerned about his older brother's disappearance" Layton said
"That's Yao! We're looking for the same person!" You said, smiling
"How wonderful!" Layton said
"Why don't we team up?" You asked
"That's a great idea!" Luke said
Alfred cleared his throat. You all looked at him
"Sorry, how rude of us. Now, Alfred are you sure you didn't see anything?" Layton said
"Yes ... I told you, I didn't go to his house. I have no reason to" Alfred growled
You handed the glasses to Layton
"We found these at the scene. There was nothing else that I could see that was suspicious" You said
He examined them
"What do you think, Professor?" Luke asked
"Hmm ... these glasses seem to be fake" Layton replied
"Fake?" Alfred said
"Yes, someone seems to be trying to frame our American friend here" Layton said, handing you the glasses
"Who would want to frame Alfred?" Arthur asked
"You would" Alfred hissed
"Alfred, please ... don't fight with Arthur. We'll have to run some tests on those glasses that were at the crime scene. And perhaps go back to Yao's house, just to make sure we haven't missed anything of importance" Layton said, sipping his tea
-Meanwhile-
Yao sighed sadly and looked at the broken mirror over his shoulder. He had a new wound that stretched across his back ... and it had been cut into his back by a red hot sword. The pain had been unbearable ... in fact, it still was. He looked at the floor and began to pray in a hushed tone ... in Chinese, something he hadn't done in years
"Shut up in there!"
He groaned sadly
"I can't do anything right ..." He mumbled

A book. England x Reader
A book... that brought us together.

Nodding silently as you listen to your friend's constant chatter "That's great, I'm glad you guys are together now but I think his statement was a little far, don't you think?" You glanced at the tulip-shaped clock hanging on the wall by your desk, noticing that your break was over. "Oh, my break is over, so can you call me later when I'm home?" you asked your friend through the phone, which she agreed and said your goodbyes to each other.
Stepping outside the office, you put your long (colour) hair up in a bun, fixing some of the loose strands. The other assistant gave you a friendly

The Widower
(Holmes x England x Reader)
I sighed as I looked at this mess....... Papers and pictures scattered everywhere, red threads connecting different people, places and newspaper articles, all of them held together by red pins on an entire wall, dozens of files in messy piles tossed on his desk.... at least the windows are slightly opened and the curtains; pulled! He might be the most talented and impressive man in the detective force, but this was just so insane! What the bloody hell did he think when he started all of this? I-Is that my bunny?
"This is just stupendous!"
I turned around, startled. He was behind his desk, turning h

You were living with Denmark at the time when Sweden and Finland were going to run away. And for some reason, you ended up liking the both of them.
When you met Sweden, you were a bit intimidated at first because he was so quiet and emotionless. It disturbed you, but you then got used to it after spending a lot of time around him. You began liking him though his quietness. It always made you wonder what he was thinking, that's what
