I left the tent and began to smoke my pipe, which I kept in my pocket and used this moment to fully process what I had just seen. "Bob" was a girl ... a pretty one at that. I knew for a fact that "Bob" wasn't her real name ... it was [Name] and yet ... I just couldn't stop thinking of her as her alias. I wasn't going to be controlled by her though, like most men would. I put out my pipe and went back into the tent to find that Bob had woken up
"What are you staring at?" She said, sounding angry
"I'm going to ask you a few questions" I said, sitting on the floor so I was at her level
This must have confused her, because all I did was stand there and shout at her
"Now, let's talk about something else, hmm? What brings you to the battlefield?" I asked
She looked at me, her eyes filled with confusion
"Aren't you going to ask me more about my side's movements?" She asked
"No, it's obvious you aren't going to tell me" I replied
"Damn right, I'd never betray Alfred. He's ... precious to me" She said, looking upset
"Oh? How so?" I asked
"He's my big brother" She said
"B-big b-brother?" I said, beginning to shake
"That settles it for me, from now on you're my brother!"
"Then I guess I'll call you big brother!"
Bob stared at me
"Hey, are you crying?" She asked
I wiped my cheek. I had indeed been crying and I hadn't noticed. I dried my eyes quickly
"D-don't be ridiculous" I said, clearing my throat
"You still care about him, don't you?" She said looking guilty
"I never stopped caring. I ... I just didn't want him to make the same mistakes I did" I said
"Oh! You were his guardian! He talks about you a lot" She said
"He ... he does?" I asked
She looked like she said way too much and frowned
"Oh, I see ... good cop, bad cop, huh?" She growled
"Now see here, Miss-uh ... Mister! I am only trying to have a polite chat with you" I said
"Why are you so jumpy?" She asked
I wanted to tell her right then and there that I knew she was a woman, and she was lying about her name, too ... something told me I shouldn't tell her, just yet
"I, Arthur Kirkland, am not Jumpy!" I said, standing up and turning away
I heard her laugh, which made me blush fiercely
"You're acting like I'm a girl" She said
"I am not, young sir!" I said, trying not to let her call my bluff
--
A month and Bob was still in my tent, being held prisoner ... and I had fallen deeply in love with her and she was still unaware that I knew about her true gender. One day, I went into the tent and untied her. She gave me a strange look as I dragged her out of the tent
"Wh-where are you taking me, you limey bastard?" She shouted
I let her go when we were on her side of the battlefield
"I'm letting you go ..." I said, almost crying
"You mean ... I'm free?" She asked
I nodded
BANG!
I fell to the floor in agony. I had just been shot in the gut ... and it was killing me
"Arthur!" Bob cried
"Damn you, Britain!" Someone cried
I looked up and saw America, coming towards us with a rifle in his hand. He looked angry. He began to reload and Bob shielded my body with hers
"H-huh?! You there, boy! Get out of the way" America said
"No, I won't! Please ... don't kill him ... He just set me free!" She protested
"Oh! It's you! What are you doing protecting the enemy?!" America asked, surprised
At that moment, I lost consciousness, due to blood loss. I woke up hours later in my tent, bare chested and covered in bandages. It hurt to sit up, so I remained lying down. Then, I saw Bob, sitting next to me ... watching me
"B-bob ..." I mumbled, stroking her cheek
She shushed me
"I'll look after you until you're strong enough to move" She said, tidying my hair
I noticed her voice was shaking. She looked angry, too ... she was hiding something from me ...

"Oh, come on, (Name)! You'll be fine!"
You were not going to be fine. Your boss, Alfred, was taking you the World Conference Meeting. And by that, it means he didn't wait for a response and brought you along the trip. You don't have time for this, your state needed you home, not in some foreign country. But you had to admit, this was pretty exciting. It was nice to take a day off from your strenuous job of being a representative of a state. But...where you really ready to handle all these different countries all at once? Sure, you make trade with some countries and you've been at a meeting or two with said country but never more

January, 1916 (Germany and England ~ Hetalia)
Month: January
Year: 1916
It was hard to differentiate between the gray flecks of ash and the snow as they mingled in the evening London air, floating weightlessly to the ground. A tall man wearing a winter coat and tall combat boots picked his way through the rubble, his hood pulled up to conceal his identity.
Dead bodies weren't strange to this man, and he could easily tell that the corpses scattered under the debris were beyond any hope of saving; yet he continued to scale the mounds of destroyed buildings and slide down them again when he didn't find what he was looking for. After several hours of searching, he stood in the empty stree
