You noticed that Prussia had been behaving strangely of late. The two of you had been dating for almost a year, and surprisingly he never tried to get into your underwear, not once. He was surprisingly well restrained for someone who was part of the Bad Touch (or Bad Friends) Trio, who were all a big bunch of perverts. You were on your way to see him when you spotted Germany doing his laps. You never understood why he did that every day. He woke up at the crack of dawn every morning and sometimes woke Prussia so they could train together
You looked up at the hill where Prussia usually sat with a mountain of water balloons to throw at his brother as he jogged past. It was highly amusing; unless Prussia put other things in the balloons, like hot sauce … then it wasn't funny at all. Surprisingly, Prussia was nowhere to be seen. This was fairly odd, as he never missed an opportunity to humiliate his younger brother. It was hard to believe those two were related. You hurried up to Germany, who had just finished his laps and was resting on a nearby fence, drinking water from a plastic bottle
"Hey, Germany" You said, smiling
He looked at you with a small smile. You and Germany got along reasonably well, but he still voiced his concern about you and Prussia dating, mainly because Prussia was well known for dodging marriage at all costs, and never showed any signs of settling down and raising a family
"Guten tag, [Name]. It is good to see you … how are you?" He asked
Germany was always so nice. You couldn't help but feel a little special when he talked to you as if you were part of the family
"I'm fine, I was just wondering where Prussia is. He's not answering my calls, and he's not here bugging you" You said
Germany gave a small sigh
"He went shopping. The dummkopf left his phone at home" He said
"That's a little weird, don't you think?" You asked
"Ja, he's been acting very weird for a month" He said
"Hmm, now that I think about it, he has been a lot quieter and Austria seems less irritated" You said
"I'm starting to think he's finally matured" Germany said
You couldn't help but laugh at his comment. Prussia wouldn't know how to be mature. Even if his life depended on it, he would remain the obnoxious lovable prankster
"I'll go look for him" You said with a smile
"Ja, tell him I'll be making lunch soon. He'll be home in a heartbeat" Germany said
You laughed a little. It was a good thing Germany knew Prussia so well, because he would warn you when a prank was coming or pull you out of the way when Prussia went to tackle you to the floor. Germany got up and stretched a little, giving you a sweet smile
"I'll see you later, ja?" He said
"Yeah, see you later" You said, smiling
The two of you said your goodbyes, and parted ways. You liked speaking with Germany. He was always so nice to you and he took care of you when Prussia was sick, or on his prank sprees. Even though the brothers fought, they did look out for each other and cared about each other, no matter how much the brothers insulted and shouted at each other. You blushed as you remembered one particular day when Prussia went skinny dipping in Austria's pond … and he came running home, stark naked and being chased by a very angry Austria, whose face was as red as one of Spain's tomatoes. You laughed a little and blushed
"Oh, Prussia" You mumbled
That boisterous albino was always on your mind. It was nice, but at the same time … really annoying. You loved him to death, but when you had Prussia on the brain, he was more obnoxious than in reality. Sure he was annoying, but there were moments when he was a calm and caring person. Though those moments were few and far between, it was always nice to see that side of him. You shook your head, trying to get the annoying, yet lovable Prussian out of your head, but alas, the stubborn albino stayed put
"Prussia … you're so annoying" You muttered, pouting a little
You arrived at a nearby supermarket about 5 to 10 minutes later, which was surprisingly busy considering the time of day. You put your hands on your hips, and quickly looked around to see if Prussia was close by. No sign of him … no surprises there. Sometimes, he was such a pain in the arse
"He couldn't have gone too far. He's probably looking at the beer and freaking out because he can't decide" You mumbled to yourself
You wondered down towards the aisle with the alcoholic beverages, but came to a stop when you saw Prussia in a place you never expected to see him. He was standing in the aisle where all the stuff for babies was kept. You were a little confused when you noticed his shopping basket was empty, and he was wearing glasses. He was looking at the baby clothes with a sad, longing kind of look. That was a bizarre sight indeed … especially when he picked up a tiny blue teddy bear and held it close as if it were something precious. He gave a deep, sad sigh and put it back, hanging his head
You wanted to call out to him, but you thought it best to leave him be. You began to walk away, but you kept looking back at him, just to see if he saw you or if he was doing something else. In the time you had known him, you had never seen him like that … ever. He looked so sad … and there had been a great longing in his eyes. Usually, they were full of mischief and full of energy … but seeing him look like that made you sad. And you found it bizarre that you had seen him hanging around in that aisle in particular. He had never spoken to you once about children, or marriage … and Germany told you that Prussia avoided marriage where possible. If he could get out of it, he would … that was the way he was, but … now you weren't so sure. Did Prussia want a family after all?

Later that Day

"I'm home!" Prussia called
You were sitting on the sofa when you heard your boyfriend calling like that. A blush formed on your cheeks and you began to shake
"Germany's out training!" You called back
Prussia hurried into the living room, looking surprised. Oddly, he wasn't carrying any shopping whatsoever
"[N-Name]! When did you get here?" He asked, looking happy to see you
"I've been here for a while. I came to see you" You replied
Prussia sat next to you, and gave you a kiss on the cheek
"That's sweet of you, [Name]. It was totally awesome of you to come and see me" He said
You smiled
"If you're going to kiss me, do it properly" You said, smiling
He gave his trademark chuckle and kissed you passionately on the lips, making you shiver a little. His touch drove you crazy. He had unbelievable soft, flawless skin …
"What's the matter?" He asked, breaking the kiss
"Prussia … you've been acting really weird lately. Are you feeling ok?" You asked, looking worried
"How have I been acting weird?" He asked, sounding offended
"Well … you've been so quiet lately. You've pranked people a lot less and … it's worrying me" You said
He laughed loudly
"You're worried about me not pranking anyone?" He asked, highly amused by your comment
"It's unlike you, Prussia. I saw you at the supermarket today, and I've never seen that look before!" You said
He went pale … well, paler than normal. He looked surprised and embarrassed that you had seen him
"H-how much did you see?" He asked
"Prussia … please. What is it that you're not telling me?" You asked, ignoring his question
He sighed and looked down. You noticed him fidgeting before he took hold of your hand
"[Name] … you are the most beautiful, smart, funny, kind and awesome person I have ever met. I want to be with you always. [Name] …" he got down on one knee "W-will you marry me?" He asked
You gasped as he took out a small velvet box out of his pocket and opened it. Inside, was a beautiful ring … it looked expensive
"I-is this why you've been acting so …"
"Ja, I was really nervous about asking you to marry me, because the moment I met you, I knew you were the one for me. I would be more than happy to start a family, if you'll have me. So, will you marry me?"He asked
"Oh, Yes! Yes, you big idiot!" You cried happily
You hugged him tightly, knocking him onto the floor. He let out a breathless chuckle as you laid on top of him, hugging him as tightly as you possibly could
"Oh, Prussia! You've made me so happy!" You said, almost crying with joy
"That's nice, but you're crushing my ribs" He wheezed
You got off him, blushing like crazy
"I'm sorry!" You squeaked
He sat up and smiled at you
"Meh, it's fine. Hold your hand out" He said
You obeyed and he put the ring on as you blushed fiercely. He smiled and kissed your hand
"Perfect fit" He said, smiling
You both stood up and shared a warm, much needed hug
"We need to celebrate" He said, smiling
"What did you have in mind?" You asked
Prussia let go and looked thoughtful for a moment. Then, without warning, he grabbed your wrist
"Skinny Dipping in Austria's pond!" He cried, punching the air
"What?! No!" You cried, blushing fiercely
"Come on, it'll be fun!" He said, laughing
"No! We are not doing that!" You said, pulling free of his grasp
"Aww … I was only fooling around. Don't be like that" He said, pouting
"Still, things like that should be saved for in the bedroom" You said, winking at him
He looked at you, confused at first. Then his confused expression turned into a full, pervy grin. He licked his lips and slung you over his shoulder
"Wh-what are you doing now?" You asked, blushing
"TO THE BEDROOM!" He cried
"What?! No! Put me down!" You protested
He ignored you and carried you to his room laughing away. That was undoubtedly the longest, but also the best day of your life
