Nothing is True, Everything is Permitted
"Is that her?"
I looked down at the street below me from the rooftops of Venice ... watching [Name] go about her daily life, without a care or worry in the world. I, however, was an assassin ...
"Si, that's [Name]" I said, keeping a close watch on her
"Lovino, my friend, why don't you tell me why you watch her at every opportunity you get?"
I looked up at my friend, Ezio Auditore da Firenze, who was also my superior. I had joined the ranks of the Assassins to bring justice to the streets of Italy once more. Ezio had seen me being attacked by a group of thugs, and because he saw that I had talent, he saw fit to train me ... and took me in after I lost my home
"The same reason I still visit my brother" I said coldly
He put a hand on my shoulder, presumably to comfort me, but I felt no such blessing
"Ezio ... surely, you understand" I said, shedding a tear
"Of course, my friend" He said, standing up
I did the same, knowing full well that it was time for us to move on
"Come, Lovino" He said, walking away
"Si ..."
I was about to follow him, but I saw [Name] was being pursued by a shady character
"Ezio!" I called
"Si?"
"[Name] is being followed!" I said, worried
I jumped down from the rooftops and blended into the crowd
"Lovino, wait ..." I heard Ezio breathe in my ear
He's good, I have to admit. I didn't even hear him coming towards me
"Observe the situation. Don't leap to conclusions" He said, sitting on a nearby bench
I did the same, pulling my hood to cover more of my face as I watched [Name] shop at the market. The assailant approached her
"Ciao, Bella ..." He hissed
"Oh! C-Ciao" She mumbled
I could tell he frightened her, because she was trembling ... I could smell her fear. I could see that Ezio could clearly see that she was unhappy about this mysterious man talking to her. It was a busy street, though ... so we couldn't just kill him and have done with it
"I have something to show you, bella" He said
"Oh? Wh-what's that?" She asked
"[Name], no!" I muttered under my breath
"Wait, Lovino ... not yet" Ezio hissed
I paid no heed and got up. I wondered into the crowd, blending in and I followed [Name] and the suspicious man. He took her to a secluded area, which was my worst fear. I saw the man pin [Name] to the wall and she screamed. I hid in the shadows, keeping my breathing inaudible as I approached
"Let me go!" She squealed
"Not until you give me what I want, Bella" He hissed
She screamed and I lept out, grabbing him from behind and holding the hidden blade to his throat
"Bad choice ..." I growled
"Wh-who the-"
"You have five seconds to get out of here before I kill you" I growled, throwing him on the ground
The assailant ran away and [Name] stared at me as I hid the blade again
"Who are you?" She asked
"It's me, [Name]. Lovino Vargas" I said, pulling my hood down
She gasped and I heard shouting. I quickly pulled my hood back up, picked her up and hid in a haystack just around the corner
"What are you-"
I silenced her with a kiss as I held her tightly in my arms. I listened carefully as the guards passed by ... and [Name] returned the kiss. Once I was absolutely certain that the pursuers were gone, I came out and helped [Name] up
"Y-you saved my life" She breathed, blushing
"Of course I did, [Name]. Ti amo" I said
She smiled and began to fidget
"Lovino"
I looked up and saw Ezio on the roof
"I must go" I said, looking at her
She nodded
"Don't worry ... I will be watching you, always" I said
I climbed up, joining Ezio on the rooftops. We walked away and I sighed
"That was a foolish thing to do, Lovino" He said, shaking his head
"I know it's a big leap of faith ... but one worth taking" I said proudly
He gave a small smile as we carried on, watching the streets of Venice ... and risking our lives for what's right

Fiora's orders were simple: Find and kill. Discreetly, if possible; no need for a fuss. The Target was somewhere in this district of Roma, nearby. She knew nothing more than the fact he'd be somewhat lavishly dressed and in a hood. That was all the information she'd need. She's never had trouble identifing any targets before. They all had the same gait, the same malice in their eyes to certain people in the crowd.
Fiora sighed as she rose from the bench she had been resting on. It was dusk, and he'd be out here soon. They all always come out at night, when no one can see. She started off towards the now closing shops, her split dress and lon

Two Worlds, One Sky: Chapter 1
A light breeze ran through the many trees of the Davenport homestead. Bright sunlight filtered through the branches as Connor stalked toward the stables. He wanted to hit something, and his heart was dropping closer and closer to the ground with every step.
He never imagined that his first confrontation with the Templars would be over his home.
All of his nerves seemed to be on high alert as he saddled his horse. The mare’s coarse, buckskin hairs seemed to be even rougher than usual against his fingertips as he fastened the straps of leather.
Connor leaped up into the saddle after he was sure all of his bags were in place.
