America x Reader - Movie Night

You sat on the sofa next to Kiku, waiting for Alfred to come in with the popcorn
"So ... what is this movie we're watching again?" You asked
"I think it's called "Undead Bunnies". Sounds kind of dumb ..." Kiku said
You smiled
"Yeah, you're right ..." You said
Alfred came in, hugging the bowl of popcorn for dear life. He was trembling as he sat next to you. He pressed play on the DVD player and began to shake, so much so, that he shook the entire sofa
Wow, this movie must be super scary ... You thought, feeling bad for making fun of him earlier
You began to pay attention to the movie and you heard Alfred whimper when the sound on the T.V went silent. A little weird monster appeared, making you and Kiku jump. You smiled, thinking that your reaction was completely ridiculous. But then you heard Alfred scream in pure terror, then cling onto you
"Hold me!" He cried, tears streaming from his eyes
You blushed a little, even though he smelt like hamburgers. You had liked Alfred ever since he saved you from drowning when you were on the beach with your friends
"Don't worry, Alfred. It's fine" You said, smiling
"No it isn't! Those evil bunnies are killing everyone!" He squeaked
Kiku shook his head and you giggled. Sometimes he was so silly ... it wasn't even a scary movie, or at least ... not to you
"Alfred are you alright?" You asked, looking at him
He just nodded, clinging to you tighter
"You smell nice, by the way" He said
You blushed fiercely
"Th-thanks" You breathed
He put his head on your shoulder and looked at the T.V, only to scream and cling even tighter
"Alfred, you're hurting me" You said
"S-sorry ..." He mumbled, but his grip didn't loosen

"Oh snap ... that was one freaky movie! But I was tough, and watched the whole thing!" He said
You smiled. You hoped Kiku had stayed the entire movie, but he left after the screaming from Alfred became a bit much
"Alfred ... why did you watch something that scared you?" You asked
"I ... wanted to show you how brave I was ..." He replied, looking at the floor in shame
You "awwed" and hugged him
"Oh, Alfred ... you don't have to prove yourself to me" You said, smiling
He looked at you with an expression of surprise
"I like you just the way you are" You said, giving him a gentle shove
He smiled and his cheeks turned pink
"I'm just happy I got to hang out with you" He said, shifting uncomfortably in his seat
He looked around and a confused look appeared on his face
"Where'd Japan go?" He asked
You giggled
"He got annoyed with your screaming and left" You said
He went dark red
"I can't help it ..." He mumbled, pouting
"I know ..." You said, patting him on the head
He scowled at you and you stuck your tongue out at him. He leaned over and tried to bite it. You squealed and tried to avoid it, only to fall off of the sofa ... or "couch" as he called it
"You alright?" He asked, looking down at you
You began to laugh. He got up and you assumed he was going to help you up
He really is my best pal! You thought, smiling
To your surprise he bent down over you ... and positioned himself as if he were ...
"Alfred?" You squeaked, blushing
He seemed nervous ... his glasses began to slip down his face as it hovered mere inches away from yours
"(Name) ... I ... oh, crap ... I forgot what I was going to say ..." He complained
"Maybe I can help" You said, placing one hand on the back of his head and one on his cheek
He began to blush as you brought your face to his and kissed him, tangling your fingers in his brownish blonde hair. When he returned the kiss, it felt like there was a firework display going on in your chest. You let out a small surprised squeak when he began to stroke your thigh carefully
"A-Alfred ..." You breathed, breaking away from the kiss
"Yes?"
Those big blue eyes were full of concern and regret, as if he had made a horrible mistake
"N-nothing ... I just ... wanted to say I love you" You said, sighing
He grinned
"Every Superman needs a Lois Lane, right?" He said
You smiled and laughed a little. That was probably the closest thing to "I love you" you were going to get
"I suppose you're right ..." You said
He rolled over so he was lying next to you, staring at the ceiling. You sat up and he looked at you with his infamous smile
"Thanks for staying with me through the whole movie" He said
"Well ... even a Superman gets scared once in a while, Alfred" You said, stroking his hair
He chuckled and sat up
"I guess so ..." He said, kissing you on the cheek
